Quartersawn on purpose
The flecks only show if the board is cut on the quarter, which means less usable wood per log. We pay for it.
Eight coats, cut back by hand
Spraying it heavy and sanding once would save four days. It would also look like it.

Leopardwood earns its name honestly.
Those flecks are medullary rays, and they only show properly if the board is cut on the quarter. That means less usable wood out of every log, and we pay more for it. It is the right trade and we would make it again.
This is the cue we hand to people who come by the shop, because it takes lacquer better than anything else we cut. The finish is built in thin coats over several days and cut back by hand between each one.
Warm amber ground with bright flecks scattered across it, fine white veneer lines running the length, and a black leather wrap. It is the loudest cue in the plain series and we are fine with that.

- Weight 15 oz butt as standard, about 19 oz as a complete cue. Built lighter or heavier on request.

Shaft diameter, joint pin and tip are being confirmed with the workshop and will be listed here shortly.
Lead time and shipping
Ten to fourteen days to build, then ten to fourteen days in transit depending on where you are. We ship worldwide from Hanoi, tracked, with a signature on delivery.
If something is wrong when it arrives
Write to support@murakicustomcues.com with a photograph and we will sort it out. A cue that arrives damaged, warped, or not matching what we agreed is our problem, not yours.
Wood is a natural material. Grain and colour will vary from the photographs above, because every board is different.
