What is in the new Cuetec World Nineball Tour partnership?
The Cuetec World Nineball Tour partnership has been renewed: on Oct. 1, 2026 the World Nineball Tour announced that Cuetec signed a new multi-year agreement as its official cue, case, rest and glove partner. Neither side disclosed how many years the deal runs or its financial terms.
The agreement applies to all WNT Major events and to NXT GEN, the tour’s series aimed at emerging players. That means the Cuetec branding fans see on the tables, the bridge heads (rests) players use and the gloves sold around the events will stay part of the tour’s look on streams watched across the US and Canada.
Matchroom Multi Sport CEO Emily Frazer called the deal “a natural evolution of a relationship” that has grown alongside the tour. The announcement leaned on Francisco Sánchez Ruiz, a longtime Cuetec player who won his second US Open Pool Championship title this year, a run we covered in our 2026 US Open recap.
How long has Cuetec been the official cue of the World Nineball Tour?
Cuetec has held the role since 2022. Matchroom and Cuetec first signed a three-year agreement in late November 2022, making Cuetec the official cue, case and rest partner for Matchroom’s nine-ball events, starting with the 2022 Mosconi Cup (Nov. 30 to Dec. 3).
That first deal covered the big 2023 stops, including the US Open, World Pool Championship, World Pool Masters, World Cup of Pool, UK Open, European Open and Premier League Pool. The 2022 Mosconi Cup also debuted the Cuetec rest and the first Cuetec MVP Award. With the original three-year term now complete, the new agreement carries the relationship forward and widens it to gloves.
What is the Cuetec Nineball Series cue, and can you buy it in the US?
Yes. The Nineball Series is the first cue co-developed with the WNT. Cuetec says it took about a year to develop, and it launched in October 2025, first in the Philippines, Vietnam and Europe, with North and South American availability from Nov. 18, 2025.
On Cuetec’s US site the line appears as the Cynergy Nineball Series, listed in three finishes (Ink Black, Shark Gray Stain and Indigo Blue Stain) at an MSRP of $899, each fitted with Cuetec’s Cynergy carbon fiber low-deflection shaft. Former US Open champion Jeremy Jones and former Hanoi Open champion Johann Chua were among the pros who endorsed it at launch.
From the workshop
Deals like this one tell you how much of the modern pro game now runs on carbon fiber shafts and mass-produced, consistent cues. That is good news for players: a well-made production cue with a low-deflection shaft is a solid tool, and seeing it under TV lights takes some of the mystery out of what the pros actually play. What a sponsorship cannot tell you is whether that balance point, butt diameter or joint suits your own stroke.
That is where a handmade cue earns its place. We build each cue to the player, choosing weight, balance, wrap, joint and shaft around how you actually play, and we are happy to talk through how that compares with a tour-branded production cue. If you want to spec one out piece by piece, start with our build-your-own cue page.
